Melissa Simmons, CPA, EA, CSA
Managing Partner
Melissa works with individual and business taxes, and business accounting. She earned her BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) in 1988 and has worked in public accounting since that time. She became an EA (Enrolled Agent) in 1994. Melissa is a member of the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents, North Texas Enrolled Agents and has served on the Board of Directors in a variety of roles. Melissa became a CPA (Certified Public Accountant) in 2009, and a CSA (Certified Senior Advisor) in 2010.
Melissa joined the firm in November 1989 and became a partner in 2009.
As a member of a military family growing up, she has lived all over the nation and overseas. She was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. She has lived in McKinney since she got married in 1991.
Melissa has one son. She is active in her church and enjoys singing in the church choir and likes to do sewing and needlework.
Rachel Lopez, CPA
Partner and Accounting Department Manager
Rachel manages the firm’s accounting and payroll Department, providing services of monthly accounting, payroll, and tax preparation for a broad range of small business clients. She has worked in public accounting since 2001. Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Information Management in 2008. She is a QuickBooks Advanced Certified ProAdvisor who provides training and support for various products in the QuickBooks family. She became a CPA in 2016.
Rachel joined the firm in 2001 and became a partner in 2018.
Rachel is married, has two daughters and lives in McKinney. She is active in her church and enjoys spending time outdoors.
Jana L. Endler, CPA
Partner and Business Tax Manager
Jana manages the firm’s business tax department, providing services for business tax returns, individual tax returns, payroll and accounting. She has worked in public accounting since 1994. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting Control Systems from the University of North Texas in 2006. Jana became a CPA in 2009. She is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Jana joined the firm in 2017 and became partner in 2022.
Jana and her husband have a daughter, two dogs; a Shorkie and a Chihuahua. When Jana is not working, she relaxes by playing the piano, reading, bird watching, or listening to Gospel music. She is involved in her local church as a Sunday School teacher for children ages 6-11.
Tax Department
Tracy L. Hendricks, CPA
Tax and Accounting Manager
Tracy manages the firm’s business clients, delivering services in monthly accounting, payroll, and tax preparation for business clients. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1986. Tracy has worked in public accounting all of her professional career and has experience in audit, taxation and accounting. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Tracy became a CPA in 1991.
Tracy joined the firm in January 2003.
When she is not working, Tracy enjoys her two dogs, traveling, decorating and being a grandma to her two granddaughters.
Carol Fleming, EA
Tax Manager
Carol owned a tax practice for over twenty years in Houston, Texas, where she performed a full range of tax services for individuals and small businesses, including preparation of federal and state returns, and audit representation before the IRS. Carol possesses the skills in strategic tax planning, accounting services, financial services and payroll. She has also achieved many certifications, including Master Tax Advisor, Senior Tax Analyst and many others.
Carol joined the firm in February 2023.
Carol relocated to the Dallas area after she sold her practice in Houston to be close to her two granddaughters. Carol enjoys spending time with her dog, Yeti, and riding her Harley Davidson and driving her Corvette.
Teresa Dempsey, EA, CPA, CSA
Teresa prepares individual, trust and estate tax returns, and accounting for business clients. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting in 1983. She has worked in public accounting since that time. She became an EA in 2002. Teresa is a member of the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents and North Texas Enrolled Agents. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Tax Alliance Conference. Teresa became a CPA in 2009 and a CSA in 2010.
Teresa joined the firm in 2001.
Kathleen Kane, CPA
Tax Department Associate
Kathy serves our clients in preparing individual and state tax returns. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of the Pacific in 1987. She became a CPA in 1988.
Kathy joined the firm in May 2018.
She enjoys traveling and riding her mountain bike. She has been married since 1986 and has three children and two grandchildren.
Alen Abraham
Tax associate and bookkeeper
Alen works as a tax associate and bookkeeper in the tax department. He graduated with a BS in Accounting at UT Dallas in 2023.
Alen joined the firm in 2024.
He likes spending time with his family and friends, and traveling.

Sharolyn Candelario, EA
Accounting Department Associate
Sharolyn works in the firm’s tax and accounting department. She graduated with an Associate Degree in Accounting in 1983. Sharolyn became an Enrolled Agent in 2006. She is a member of the Texas Society of Enrolled Agents and North Texas Enrolled Agents.
Sharolyn joined the firm in 1993.
She and her family enjoy cheering on Baylor University sports.
Debbie Guerrero
Accounting Department Associate
Debbie works in the firm’s tax and accounting department. She obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University in 1984.
Debbie joined the firm in January 2000.
In her free time, Debbie enjoys backyard cookouts, OU football games, spending time with family and friends, and serving in her local church. Debbie has been married since 1990 and has a daughter and a son.

Linda Clark joined the firm in August 2014.
She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting in May of 2005 from the University of Houston, Clear Lake.
Linda has worked in public accounting since 2000, and has been a Certified Quickbooks ProAdvisor since 2007.
Family: Married with children, grandchildren.
Christine D. Ratliff
Payroll Specialist
Christine works in the accounting department at the firm. She obtained her Master’s Degree in Accounting in 2013. Christine provides professional services to small businesses, including payroll, accounting and other financial services to an ever-growing client base.
Christine joined the firm in August 2017.
On her time off she enjoys reading, and learning new things. She is active in her local church and has been married since 1990. She enjoys spending time with her son and her four Chihuahuas.
Darleen Muth
Accounting Department Associate
Darleen works in the firm’s tax and accounting department. She graduating with an Associate in Accounting at South Suburban College in 2008. She became a Certified Bookkeeper in 2010, a Certified QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor in 2021, and is Certified in Management/Marketing.
Darleen joined the firm in August of 2021.
On her time off she enjoys reading. She has been married since 1992. She enjoys spending time with her husband and her Shiba Inu.
Stephanie Rivera
Accounting Department Associate
Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2020.
Stephanie joined the firm in 2018.
Stephanie enjoys spending time with family. She has been married since 2019. She and her husband have been blessed with two children.
Arslan Ahmad
Accounting Department Associate
Arslan works in the accounting and payroll department. He serves our clients by performing various tasks including data entry, collecting transactions, maintaining and monitoring financial records. He is currently pursuing a degree in finance and economics.
Arslan joined the firm in August 2022.
On his time off, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, going on long cruises and reading.
Genesis Aguilar
Accounting Department Associate
Genesis graduated from high school in May of 2023 and plans to attend college and pursue a career in the accounting and finance field.
Genesis joined the firm in December 2022.
She lives in McKinney and is active in her local church.
Shei Vivori
Accounting Department Associate
Shei works as a bookkeeper in our write-up department. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commercial Science in Accounting in 2008.
Shei joined the firm in 2023.
She enjoys spending time with her family, loves to paint, draw and sketch when she has time. She is married with 2 children, and just moved to the US in 2023 from the Philippines.

Ann Streeter
Firm Administrator
Ann works in the billing and human resources department. She also keeps the office operating smoothly. Ann has previously been an office manager, accounting associate, and inventory controller in various industries including telecom and laboratory.
Ann joined the firm in 2007.
Ann enjoys square dancing and going to flea markets. Ann lives in Plano with her husband, son and two cats.
Kay Bertschi
Billing Manager
Kay is the billing and collections manager. She works as part of the administrative team doing a variety of support tasks.
Kay has a background in retail and grocery management, corporate training and recruiting.
Kay joined the firm in 2016.
Illinois is Kay’s home state, but she is glad she relocated to Texas in 2015. She has always been active in her church. She enjoys teaching and being creative. Her newest passion is drawing original Zen tangles.
Cora Simmons
Administrative Assistant
Cora serves our clients by performing various tasks in setting up client accounts and portal maintenance. She is responsible for e-filing tax returns.
Her experience in retail, restaurant, and call center roles provide a strong customer service experience for our clients.
Cora lives in McKinney with her husband and is active in her church. During her free time she enjoys aiding her church’s food pantry and reading.
Debra Walton
Administrative Assistant
Debra handles a vast array of duties for our clients and the firm. She earned her Bachelor Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and Texas License for grades 1st – 8th and has a long history in the education field. Debra moved to North Dallas from Houston in 2010 with her family.
Debra joined the firm in December 2022.
During her free time she volunteers with a non-profit group called Save Lucas Recycling. She also loves spending time with her family working on home improvement projects, attending college football games, and being a mom to her two sons.
Kelbin Peraza
IT Coordinator
Kelbin serves the firm in managing hardware and software assets as well as troubleshooting the firm’s IT infrastructure.
Kelbin joined the firm in February 2022.
During his free time, Kelbin spends time with his wife and daughter, and playing soccer.
